In this work, we have chosen the block of earth as a basic material used in construction in Morocco especially in rural areas, which is mixed with some stabilizers such as straw fibers, pine needle fibers and lime in different rates separately. In order to enhance local materials and help reduce construction costs and the energy consumed for heating or air conditioning, these surface fibers were used to stabilize the earth blocks. In this context, we have chosen the region of Had Laghoualem (KHEMISSET) as the place of origin of the materials used in our research. The objectives of this work are study the chemical characterization and mineralogical of soil and fibers in order to be able to specify the effect of the chemical stabilization by lime, straw and pine fibers on the mechanical and thermal properties of earth bricks.
