Title: المخاطر البيئية بدير الأطلس المتوسط
Author: زوهري, ادريس
Abstract: AbstractThe environmental risks in the cities of the "Dir" are one of the structural constraints that hinder development and planning within these areas. Both El-Hajeb and Sefrou are two cases that reflect this phenomenon. The problem of environmental risks in both cities are multidimensional. It is related to the topographical location and the geographical constraints of the "Dir"region as well as to the rapid and uncontrolled urbanization, not to mention the real estate problems. Environmental risks are exacerbated by the adoption of classical approaches that not only don’t conform with the spatial and urban transformations taking place on the ground, but that do not take into account socio-economic changes as well. Therefore, the problem of environmental risks reflects the condition of both the natural and the human dimensions that are inseparably related. The scientific follow-up of these phenomena requires a holistic approach to the elements affecting them, both natural and human, as well as the interactions between them. The objective of this study is to diagnose and assess the various environmental risks facing the urban area of Sefrouand El Hajeb by adopting a systemic approach, based on questions about the specificities of the areasat risk, with a view to understanding the mechanisms that govern the emergence of danger in relation with the Socio-spatial structure, together with the fragility degree .In approaching this problem, we didn’t limit ourselves to listing and describing the environmental hazards in Sefrou and El Hajeb, but we have also studied, analyzed, and mapped the major types of environmental risks. We have also highlighted the vulnerability of urban areas, and evaluated the actions taken for both the protection and prevention . The study ends up by suggesting an environmental approach derived from the geography of planning that takes into account the comprehensive approach to risk and forms of intervention, while integrating the social and economic dimensions in relation to natural factors, with the perspective of developing an integrated environmental strategy, and improving the living conditions in consistency with the principles of sustainable development.
