L’Université Ibn Zohr, fondée en 1989 et située à Agadir, elle tire son nom du savant andalou « Abou Merwan Ibn Zohr ». Université unique dans sa région, elle constitue un acteur majeur et un véritable moteur du développement de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche dans les provinces du Sud et du Sahara marocains. Elle propose une offre de formation diversifiée dans plusieurs disciplines et contribue activement au développement régional et national tout en plaçant l’étudiant au cœur de ses priorités.

جامعة ابن زهر، التي أُحدثت سنة 1989 وتتخذ من مدينة أكادير مقرًا لها، سُمّيت تيمنًا بالعالِم الأندلسي أبي مروان ابن زهر. وباعتبارها المؤسسة الجامعية الوحيدة في مجالها الجغرافي، تضطلع بدور ريادي في تطوير التعليم العالي وتعزيز البحث العلمي بأقاليم الجنوب والصحراء المغربية. كما توفر عرضًا أكاديميًا متنوعًا في مختلف التخصصات، وتسهم بفاعلية في دعم التنمية الجهوية والوطنية، مع إيلاء الطالب مكانة مركزية ضمن توجهاتها الاستراتيجية

Ibn Zohr University, founded in 1989 and located in Agadir, takes its name from the Andalusian scholar Abou Merwan Ibn Zohr. As the only university in its region, it stands as a key actor and a driving force in the development of higher education and research in the southern provinces and the Moroccan Sahara.
