Abstract
The present work is devoted to the fundamental study of modified electrodes.
The elaboration and electrochemical charaterization of new materials based on polymers and heteropolyanions (HPA).have been achieved. Several methods were investigated allowing the incorporation of oxometalates in a redox polymer matrice such as poly(4-vinylpyridine) (PVP) and a in conducting polymer such as polyaniline (PANI), these modified electrodes are remarkable stable.
We have studied charge transport in elctrodes modified by inclusion of SiW₁₂O⁴⁻₄₀ heteropolyanion in PVP films. The experimental results have been handled in the framework of current theoretical models.
The catalytic properties of such modified surfaces were applied to tudies of alcohol oxidation and oxygen reduction in acidic medium.
