Title: Contribution à la valorisation des Schistes bitumineux marocains ( Timahdit et Tarfaya )
Author: Doumbouya, Mamoudou
Abstract: In this work we developed a new method for enrichment of Moroccan oil shale for use as fuel in power plants for heat production but also for the production of electrical energy on the one hand, and on the other hand, use the by-product of combustion, the ashes of shale in the manufacture of Portland cement. It should be noted that several research methods have been developed worldwide in the field of treatment and recovery of oil shale but none of them had discussed the enrichment of Moroccan shale using leaching a acid molecule and with a reasonable cost. Because of theirlow content of organic matter whoisaround 17.7%, these minerals could not be considered as a fuel with a lower calorific power non competitive. Thus, our contribution in this work was to optimize the content of organic matter to the order of 60-70% depending on the reagents used: hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid, and in these well-defined proportions. On the other hand, oil shale samples were treated at temperatures below those used in cement kilns which are around 1300 ° C, but also the compressive strength measured on samples consisting of 30% of shale and 70% of cement. This is acceptable in the standard cement CPJ 35.
